How Do I Become A Better Speaker?

A great speaker makes people feel the way they do; a great leader makes them want to give their life to others. You don’t have to be an astronaut to be an expert communicator. But you will need to find this talent. My favorite author is Tony Robbins, who says that we as humans are capable of extraordinary things — and that if we just let it bloom, if we can just tap into our infinite potential, we can shape the world in our dreams.

In this video we’ll look at some of the things that make you better as a communicator. First, what are the 10 traits of a great communicator? The next question we’ll ask you is where do you fit in? Next, how do you find yourself? And finally, we’ll tap into your potential. I promise you, once you hear what I have to say, you’ll find the confidence to speak your mind in your own unique voice.

A Great Communicator 1.  Focused on the big picture

I’m a huge believer in communication. I really feel it’s the key to our success as people. And communication is essential for all types of success in every area of life. In order to be successful, we need to focus the way we communicate.

Communicating your thoughts, beliefs and goals is the first step in the journey. Then we can continue to grow. 2.  Strongly motivated

We know that in order to accomplish any goal, we need motivation. And motivation, I can tell you, is hard to get. If we don’t have motivation, then we can’t do our best, and there’s no way we’re going to do anything in the best possible way. And the first thing we need to stop doing is worrying so much and stressing so much. Instead, we need to find the good times, and focus on the small things.

In the video, I talk about why motivation is so important for great speakers of all areas of business and life. 3.  Takes action

When you begin taking action, there’s no stopping that. When you create a new habit, stop the old one and start the new one.  The simple act of doing something makes you so much better at doing that thing. And the only person that truly understands the value of action is an action person. And the type of action is in your voice.

In the video, I talk about the power of doing .

4.  Self-Aware

As a general rule, your ability to take care of yourself precedes your ability to take care of others. You need to care about your well-being, and take care of your feelings, your thoughts and your life. I always love saying that no one ever goes through life alone. And the more you care for others, the more you care for yourself.

That’s the power of self-awareness. In the video, I talk about how self-awareness will increase your motivation. And how we can do that in our own unique ways.

My favorite self-care program is this one. It’s called Self Care 101 . You can access it here .

5.  Great listener

Listen to the people around you. Listen for what they are feeling, what they think, what they are doing. When you get to know the people in your life, you learn a lot. And when you learn from others, you learn a lot. So find ways to learn from the people around you.

In the video, I talk about the power of listening .

6.  Good listener

Sometimes we get caught up in who is right and who is wrong in a debate or discussion. We feel strongly one way or the other, and we end up having a negative impact on people around us. But if we understand the people we’re arguing with, and why they’re fighting, I’m sure we’ll have a little understanding of how we’re being destructive.

In the video, I talk about why we need to listen . 7.
