How I Became A Fitness And Wellness Coach

I’ve been training clients, myself, in a system that is simple as yoga but much more effective. It’s about being present.

I’ve always been interested in fitness and well being from a cultural perspective (I’ve been in the fitness industry for decades). I’ve also been living with my own issues (including a serious and chronic medical issue) which has left me with few options to really get in touch with myself or my body. In the midst of some personal turmoil, I knew that I wanted to give back to my community through a different medium. Through my own life experiences, I started getting curious about the wellness industry in general. I also became interested in making a positive impact on the lives of others as a result of the information I found and the people that showed to me that it was possible. My first experience with the wellness industry was at a retreat for business people called “The Happy Haunt”. I got interested in helping business clients with their health and wellness related issues due to the many people I helped with their health and wellness issues. I thought it would be a great opportunity to teach one-on-one classes for business people and their employees. I realized that I was passionate about health and well being and I wanted to share my own story of the experiences that made me who I am today. From that point on, my life has been full of health-related experiences and I’ve continued to live on a journey that I call The Bliss Journey. With the help of the folks in the health and wellness industry, I’ve been able to help many people both physically and emotionally.

I have been invited to speak at a number of conferences, such as  The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA)  and American Society for Nutrition (ASN). My presentations range from general health and fitness training to training for the sport of bodybuilding.

When I was an undergraduate, I took a course called  Life and Living Systems , which had a focus on food and medicine. For me, it’s been a learning path that I’ve continued on. My favorite health and wellness resource has been  Healthy Planet , which I use to find out what’s healthy for my body and the people that I train with. It’s also been an invaluable learning tool for creating a system that I’m very proud to be associated with.

I have had opportunities to train and collaborate with other coaches, and I was honored to train over 100 people over a three month period in Mexico. I’ve also had the opportunity to give presentations that help people, whether it’s through health and wellness resources, or nutrition advice, or training tips, to be more aware and understand our bodies and our habits and how to achieve health and wellness in a way that is personal and sustainable.

My personal health and wellness goal has been to feel good. The best way to really achieve that is to focus on being present and being aware. I feel that our bodies are designed with the capacity to do so much, but we often forget to do that. Being aware of the ways in which we are connected to each other, to our environments around us, and the food that we are consuming all leads us down a road of more health and wellness. For me, that is not something that is an overnight process, because I’m always looking for more awareness and awareness-building.

As of right now, my mission is a simple one: to encourage, teach, and enable people not only to have a good body, but to have a good life. I want to help you become more present in everything and in every moment. The journey I am on provides me an opportunity to do just that and I am always open to growing as a person.
