How I Can Build New Business From My Home Garden And Patio

Many gardeners struggle keeping crops alive. Most of the time, we can get the best results by cutting the weeds before they turn into weeds. However, for some, these are too much and they need a few tricks for getting the proper soil and conditions for vegetables to grow, and the correct nutrients.

I have two backyard gardens within walking distance of each other that I have been keeping healthy and lush with produce. It doesn’t take long to grow enough produce for yourself and then to share with friends and neighbors. I use many of different methods to do this but one of the easier ways to get your produce going is to start with one of those homemade tomato seeds. When you have a seedling it can grow fast, and then after a couple months, you can start taking it out of the soil and transplant it into soil that you are happy with. I start with a mixture of peat moss and perlite. It takes two or three months to get your seedlings going, depending on water requirements.

The best way to get your tomato plants to grow well is to provide water in the right places. In the garden, this means allowing soil under the water to dry out for a week before watering, and then watering only when the soil is still damp. In the yard, this means allowing soil on the bottom of the container to dry out for a week before watering.

You could also use a composted garden soil mix, which is ideal for growing tomatoes. However, if you do this, be sure to add compost to the mix so it can help break up any rocks the soil is sitting on.

It doesn’t take much time to grow tomatoes and it looks gorgeous on a patio!

            For this dish, I’m using red onion, baby carrots and red bell peppers. I can find these items at most supermarkets.

1 – 8 ounce can chopped tomatoes 2 – 4 pounds of peppers, seeds, red onions and carrots, cooked (I used an olive oil and vinegar sauce)

4 – 8 ounce cans of oil with 2 Tbl salt (I bought the white wine from local Costco, it was only $2.99)

4 – 8 ounce cans of tomato sauce with 3 Tbsp. onion powder

For a little extra flavor, you can add 2 tsp. garlic powder.

This is a recipe made with a can of tomatoes, water, salt and oil. I used olive oil for many of the other sauces, but the white wine is optional, and you can use anything you like from your garden.

You’ll also want to find some seeds for your peppers and onions, I used red onion and baby carrots, but you can use everything except peppers and onions that you grow.

For the veggies of your choice (be sure they’re fresh!) pick out the best looking and juicier veggies. For this I used red bell peppers. I also used yellow onions for this recipe and they turned out just as beautiful. This is perfect for a holiday family dinner, or for those of us who can’t cook much. There’s no need to spend hours on the stove in this time-saving dish.
