How To Become An Exercise Hero

A lifetime of sedentary activity and poor nutrition lead to impaired muscle and heart function, which in turn leads to diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome. With the right nutrition and exercise, all of a sudden you have healthy, athletic muscle that never gets tired. You will get that edge in anything you do and get into shape in record time. Not only will it be a breeze to do, but you will feel incredible.

When I was growing up, I never thought I’d be the “Exercise Hero” I am today. I always thought I would simply keep my body in good shape with tons and tons of cardio, weights, swims, and walking. Well, it turns out I need to keep my body in good shape for a much longer journey, because being “lifted,” and “fit” are only words to describe how I feel. But what is your approach if you’ve been working towards your goals, but struggle with staying motivated? When I was growing up, I never thought I’d be the “Exercise Hero” I am today. I always thought I would simply keep my body in good shape with tons and tons of cardio, weights, swims, and walking. Well, it turns out I need to keep my body in good shape for a much longer journey, because being “lifted,” and “fit” are only words to describe how I feel.

It really all depends on if you know how to motivate yourself or if you are too lazy to do the work! When you motivate yourself to start a new program or a new bodyweight workout program, but have a strong belief in your results, you may get a feeling of failure, or “I failed”, but don’t let it get to you. If you have no idea what your motivation “feels like”, you need to find out what it is, find a way for it to feel that way, and hold it. The next step is to learn to find yourself!

What is Your Motivation?

You need to figure out what makes you so motivated to do anything you do. How have you found your motivation, or what are you inspired by? Is “motivation” a feeling that comes out of nowhere, or is it the result of you working hard, putting in the commitment, and giving it 100%?

A lot of people find inspiration to get into shape. As long as it’s a goal you can achieve, you can be motivated to work hard. Or you feel like you should do something you haven’t done before. The one thing is, there are definitely some people out there who can’t get themselves inspired. If you are one of them, don’t be discouraged, you won’t be the type to stop working out if you are, and you will definitely learn the key to getting you and others inspired. It’s the feeling that makes the difference between someone who works hard and somebody who doesn’t.

A Word About Health

Many people have made the mistake of just looking at health issues as something that is out of their control. It may seem impossible because they are so much in control of their environment and what they eat, but the truth is that your body and mind are in complete control of how you look, feel, and perform. A well planned healthy lifestyle can definitely lead to a great, lean physique, but most people aren’t really paying attention to the amount of activity they’re doing, when they exercise, or the importance of a balanced diet. When you’re not paying attention, you can easily fall into a vicious cycle of eating poorly, exercising too much, and having a bad diet that leads to health issues, like diabetes and obesity. This can lead to a lot of unnecessary stress in your life, which may very well be a factor in your health issues. The most important thing is to make sure you get the basic information and advice you should have been given when you decided to change your body.

Getting Started!

When starting a new program, it’s extremely important to figure out what your target goals are. I’m a firm believer that the goal I wanted to be by the time I got to my 30’s is to be lean (not fat) and muscular. So my goal for this next year is to gain muscle for the first time and see where that takes me, and how it changes me. How it impacts my diet, my training, how I view myself in terms of health, etc.

Before you commit to anything, take a realistic look at your current situation.
