How To Clean The Cables Of Your Tv Without Even Trying

There’s so much clutter in your home, and a single cable with no wires can quickly become a mess.

Cable cleaners are often overlooked, especially when you’re using just a few cords. But in order to get rid of all the clutter, you have to get into the habit of thoroughly cleaning your own cables. After all, you’re not watching cable TV without one. But how do you even find out those “good cable” cords should get cleaned? How To Do Stuff has the solution. After cleaning a lot of cords, he discovered that you don’t have to wait for the cable cleaners to come through the door or window and clean the cables.

How To Clean The Cables Of Your Home:

First, remove all the cords from the outlet.  Then, put the cord from the outlet with the highest resistance in a plastic bag and toss it into the trash.  This way, when the cable cleaners arrive, it won’t be a mess to clean at the door or in the living room; it will just go in the trash. Next, find a plastic garbage bag and put your cables in it.  Put the other bag in the closet, and then put the trash bag inside the closet. That’s the one-time way to have clean cable with the little hassle of putting them back into the outlets.  Just be sure that you take the other bag with you.

How To Clean The Cables Of Your Home:

The first thing to avoid is running the cables past the cable cleaners.  The cable cleaners use a vacuum that goes through the cables, so if you run the wires beyond their reach, the cleaners will just do nothing.  Even if you’re using a “cleaner” cable cleaner, you shouldn’t need to run the cables beyond its reach.  But if you do, just run a rubber band on the wires to stop the cleaner from doing anything.  If you have to go over the wires, make sure that you have a cord shield , which is a piece of plastic that allows the cable to be easily spliced back together. You can find a simple shield at any hardware store. The other thing to avoid is using a cable cleaner with static electricity.  If your cable cleaner is carrying a static charge and it’s on, there’s a good chance it’ll discharge static electricity through the cables and into the carpet/floor or anywhere else in your house.

How To Clean The Cables Of Your Home:

There are two ways to remove static; you can either use a cord disconnect or simply put away the cord.  The cord disconnect makes the static charge go through your house, so all of the static power has to go around the house.  Also, it’s much easier to use a cord disconnect if you have a computer or other device that connects and disconnects electrical cords.  The other method is to simply put away your cord, which will prevent the static charge from going into the carpet/floor or anywhere else in the house.  Of course, you can also simply cut the cord of a cable without a cord on in order to have no static electricity, which can be handy when you’re watching Netflix or other online video.  The downside to using cord disconnects (or simply putting away the cord) is the cable cleaners have to be right under your cable so they can remove the static.  They also have to be right between your cable and the cable cleaner, so it’s sometimes hard to find one.
