How To Get To Know Your Body Well

A relationship with your body is a wonderful thing. It’s an expression of who we are and how the world was created. But a relationship with your body can quickly go awry if you become emotionally attached to the body.

Our bodies are the result of millions of years old evolutionary forces working in concert to grow us into the individuals we are today. In order to do this, we need to learn how to become aware and mindful of what we consider normal. We also need to learn how to let go of the physical aspects of life, including eating, sleeping, and exercising.

This is a good time of year to learn all you can about getting into a healthy relationship with your body, and why you should not get married to a body. Let me give you a few of the reasons you should not get married to a physical body.

If you want your body to look perfect and look good to you, your best options are to:

1. Eat a healthy diet

One of the best things you can do for your body on a daily basis is go eat fresh fruit and vegetables and have quality meals. Avoid junk food and unhealthy snacks. You will be healthier and happy on the inside if you take every opportunity to eat nutrient rich foods.

2. Rest more

When you are tired, you are less likely to have sex. Your body will have to be stronger for reproduction to work, which will lead to more sleep deprivation, and eventually, more fatigue.

If you are physically and emotionally tired, it’s hard to do things for yourself in order to feel better. Instead of doing things for yourself, you need to make up excuses for yourself. Sometimes it may be, “I only want to do this when I am tired”. Or “I never had enough sleep, so why should I do this while I have plenty of sleep?”

3. Exercise more

This is just as important as eating a healthy diet and sleeping. You will feel better if you have a healthy body. Your body is not doing what it needs to do when you aren’t physically active. You can do a lot of great things for your mind and body using simple exercises like walking, swimming, walking up and down stairs, swimming, running, aerobics, etc. Your whole life can be improved by doing a little exercise everyday.

And while I’m at it, let me tell you another reason not to marry a physical body — it’s not a person.

As we have already alluded to, bodies are not individuals. The people we are to marry, our parents, our siblings and friends, and even God, depend on our bodies to fulfill their lives. These things happen because our individual genetic make-up has determined the nature of our bodies to do particular tasks for us. As such, we should respect the fact that not one of us is a person, but that a body exists, and should be treated with compassion and respect. A body is simply a tool to help us do some things for ourselves.

4. Don’t be lazy

Laziness is a huge problem for people with their bodies. But when we put our bodies aside for our egos, it becomes difficult to even be active and engaged in our lives. So, we often put things off to avoid doing the activity that we love. Then, we start to feel worse when our bodies start to fail us.

Lazy is not a reason to commit yourself to life or any task. You can be proactive, by keeping yourself physically active. You can also be reactive, by not doing the things you love, or even letting yourself sleep when you should. Lazy people have no good reason to live at all.
