How To Make The Most Out Of Your Workplace Environment

When it comes time to get to work, your first impulse is to pack a bag full of your favorite coffee (with ice) and a bowl of instant oatmeal and jump at the first available opportunity. It’s a mistake.

When it comes time to get to work, your first impulse is to pack a bag full of your favorite coffee, ice cubes, and instant oatmeal, and jump at the first opportunity. But, if you do pack a bag and have the same impulse, it may be because there are more things to pack than you realize. If you think of what you need to pack today, you may find that you can pack a lot more, not less, for the next day.

Start time is the most important part of the day, because you need to be at it no later than 8:00am. It has nothing to do with starting your work on the proper physical start time, it’s not something you control, and it’s not something you can control. However, you can control the fact that by 8:30 you are ready to get started. I have heard people say before 8:30, “I’m not going to work today, I’m just going to go home and watch some movies!” or something to that effect. If you decide to stay late or to stay late after 8:30, you will begin to have a greater difficulty finishing your work, which will affect your productivity and overall satisfaction. Start every day of your workday and don’t think about it.

You will discover that you can pack more for later in the day and in certain circumstances, that will allow you to spend more time with your family on those days when you’re home. If you are home at 9:00 or later, take a little extra time to do your work if time permits. After all, the goal is to get there on time to start the work day.

Start off your workday or if possible, start your workday with a cup of “energy drink” or something similar. I have talked about energy drinks before and I urge you to read my article, 10 Ways To Make Coffee Work For You, to learn more about the benefits of these types of energy drinks.

Start off the workday or if possible, start your workday with a cup of “energy drink”, but do not drink the coffee until the coffee has been blended. It could be a coffee with a little coffee or a milk with only milk. Just make sure that when you start your work day that you finish your coffee and coffee with water first. For example:  5-3-2017; 9:30-8:30am; “Energy drink” with coffee and water. It is a fine line and it takes a little practice. Once you get the hang of it, these types of coffee drinks will be the most effective ways to stay alert.

You may also wish to consider adding a vitamin supplement to your “energy drink”. If, for example, you’re a heavy coffee drinker, a vitamin tablet supplement could be added to your “energy drink”. This supplement is not something that will give your energy or even your energy in the same place as a cup of coffee can. Instead it’s a supplement that will have no effect on coffee, it’s designed to provide your energy in the right place.
