How To Make Yourself Hungry Again

There are countless diet strategies, from sugar-loaded cereal bars, to whole-grain brown rice, to skipping breakfast, to skipping lunch, to chewing gum or eating spicy foods to ward off hunger, but there is one that is universally recognized and well documented and has the best results. The one I have developed is called the “Gum Diet.” It focuses on just the right foods, especially the ones that are good for your teeth and the gums that protect them; especially the fiber in fruits and vegetables.

I invented the Gum Diet when I realized after several years of being overweight that it would be almost impossible to keep my weight down, no matter how many different diet tricks I tried.  The foods I focus on are the same ones I eat whenever I am hungry. So if one day you have a bad night or a bad week, your focus is on trying to figure out why, and the next day you look at your diet and it may be what is causing you to eat too much, or too little, or in between.

I started with one-half of a stick of butter, two bananas, and a spoon of applesauce.  I then ate two other small sticks of butter, two other bananas, three whole grapes, three whole pears, four small apples, four smaller bananas, and another small stick of butter.  I then ate six handfuls of raw spinach, eight handfuls of raw sprouts, eight handfuls of raw kale, eight handfuls of raw chard, and six handfuls of raw walnuts.  I then ate two more tablespoons of raw applesauce, two teaspoons of dried garlic, two of dried onion, one teaspoon of dried parsley, one small jar of honey, and one teaspoon of powdered cayenne pepper.  I then ate eight handfuls of carrots, five handfuls of parsnips, five handfuls of celery, five handfuls of radishes, five of a large stalk of celery, five carrots or stalks of celery, five handfuls of parsnips, five handfuls of water chestnuts, two large pieces of uncooked rice cooked with one tablespoon of salt, about four cups of canned fruit, and four cups of water, two of which I reserved to be consumed later.  I then ate one tablespoon of salt and one cup of brown sugar.  Finally, I ate about a quarter of a dozen handfuls of raw broccoli, and about nine handfuls of unripe cantaloupe.

I used only those foods, specifically those with a rich fiber or an antioxidant that prevents cavities, and a healthy dose of minerals, fat, and protein, which help teeth look like their natural, younger state.  Of course, for your teeth to look their best they must also be in good condition.  So, at this point I eat one-half of a hard cheese, about eight raw carrots, two large handfuls of raw celery, two large handfuls of raw radishes, two large handfuls of raw pears, two large handfuls of raw chard cooked with one tablespoon of salt, two large handfuls of raw walnuts, two large handfuls of raw spinach, two large handfuls of unripe cantaloupe, one tablespoon of dried garlic, two of dried onion, two of dried parsley, one teaspoon of dried parsley, one small jar of honey, one teaspoon of powder cayenne, and one tablespoon of powdered cayenne.  I then eat another cup of raw applesauce, a teaspoon of dried garlic, a handful of raw parsley, one small jar of honey, and a tablespoon of powdered cayenne, ending with about a dozen handfuls of raw broccoli, and a few handfuls of other foods I like that I found in the store.

After the final meal was done, I then swiped some of my remaining food onto a towel and used it to wipe my mouth.

After several minutes, I wiped my mouth, and put the towel down and started thinking about the food in front of me.
