What Your Mother Has Taught You About Life

The one thing you can be sure of with life — and this applies both for your health and for your self esteem — is that something’s always in search of a reason to keep you going. You either want a reason for life, or you don’t.

If there’s one thing you can be sure of with life — and this applies both for your health and for your self esteem — it’s that something’s always in search of a reason to keep you going. You either want a reason for life, or you don’t. I was reminded of this recently, when I became acquainted with a wonderful spiritual woman. We both agreed that a key in our life was the message of what we have learned from our mothers. This message wasn’t just limited to our mothers, but to our fathers too. This is a powerful message, and can be a very helpful compass for a variety of areas in life. In this video I lay out what I hope this is for you as well.

This message wasn’t just limited to our mothers, but to our fathers too. This is a powerful message, and can be a very helpful compass for a variety of areas in life.

One of the most powerful messages we have received, both from our mothers and from others, is that we are responsible for ourselves. This means that in today’s world, we have a choice to be one of the “selfish, self-absorbed, and ego-infused” types, or to find the inner balance to accept who we are, and what we have learned about ourselves, and go on. This doesn’t mean to give up your goals in life, but rather learn how to give yourself a proper opportunity to achieve them. This can be easy or difficult — it depends on what you want to achieve in your life. It’s the same principle that we all learn as children — if you try to do something when you don’t have the skills or the knowledge you need, you will end up with a mess and a big failure.
